Primary Function

Wor-Wic Community College continuously accepts applications for part-time faculty to teach courses in our Continuing Education and Workforce Development division, which includes subjects in Business, Construction/Trades, Hospitality, Technology, Transportation (including CDL), Healthcare, and much more.

Part-time instructors in this category teach courses that support many continuing education and workforce development options for our non-credit students.

Essential Duties

The following list is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position.

  • Creates and manages an environment conducive to the student's learning of continuing education and workforce development course material
  • Prepares and uses course syllabi and selects textbooks when appropriate
  • Meets all scheduled classes
  • Maintains student classroom records, reports absences and collects written course evaluations
  • Assists with continuing education and workforce development registration when appropriate
  • Submits copies of course syllabi, as well as copies of tests and other materials provided to students, to the dean of continuing education and workforce development
  • Submits a list of students who have not met the requirements for continuing education and workforce development recognition documents to the dean of continuing education and workforce development within the established time frame each semester
  • Works with local professionals in his or her field of study
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the dean of continuing education and workforce development
