Pay Range - Competitive Description of Duties: In addition to duties of a Staff Dentist, the ADD will; Work with the CDO to identify staffing needs. Assists with interviews as hiring of staff as needed. Assist in the provision of continuing education for the health center staff as requested. Assist in the reviews and amendment of Dental Program policies and procedures as appropriate Assist in the Quality Assurance program i.e. clinical chart reviews. Assists in the establishment and evaluation of dental program quality improvement outcomes and with development or modification of dental program processes as indicated. Participate in short- and long-term program planning for the Dental Program and the Center, including development of goals and objectives. Assist the CDO in preparation of reports and records as needed. Suggest supplies and equipment during preparation of the annual dental program operating budget. If needed, assist with attending meetings (ex. Quality Improvement Council). Assist the CDO in assuring the Department is in compliance with applicable federal, state, local and center rules, regulations, protocols and procedures governing the practice of dentistry and the clinical provision of dental care Management and Supervisory Responsibilities: In the absence of the CDO or in conjunction with the CDO as appropriate, the ADD Provides oversight, and supervision to administrative and clinical staff in collaboration with the Dental Clinic Manager Provides input for the evaluation of clinical staff members. Provides clinical guidance to staff.   Position Requirements Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited dental school or graduation from a foreign dental school and subsequent completion of ADA approved residency leading to US dental licensure; Completion of an accredited general practice residency program is preferred; Knowledge of public health principles and practices preferred; Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required; Ability to maintain appropriate clinical privileges required, hospital privileges preferred; Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
