This position is with the Incident Management Team (IMT). The IMT effectively and efficiently manage the deployed resources and coordinate the activities of those resources to ensure completion of assigned missions. The IMT is activated when federal health service/missions are assigned in support of federal, state, local, and tribal requests for support during natural or man-made emergencies, incidents, or National Special Security Events (NSSE).

Duties include but are not limited to:
Supports the operational management of HHS and ESF-8 response assets for the purpose of the deployment of resources, personnel, and assets in the event of an actual or perceived public health emergency response, to provide care for victims, and to provide supplemental staffing support to the local medical infrastructure during mass casualty incidents.
Provides support for the coordination, activation, deployment and demobilization of the response team and specialty teams, personnel, and assets to the incident scene.
Plans and conducts analysis to improve emergency preparedness and contingency operations.
Advises on the impact of proposed changes in the plans and potential impact on the mission or resources and recommends alternative courses of action and possible solutions for resolving problems.

Prepares reports, written communication, and briefings for leadership, ESF-8 partners, HHS resources, and others as needed or directed.
This position is an Intermittent work schedule: A schedule that requires an employee to work an irregular number of hours or days for which there is no prearranged scheduled tour of duty. You also may not hold dual federal employment.
This position does not have an education requirement. However, if you are using education to qualify for this position all or in part as described above a copy of your college transcript is required and will be used in making qualifications determinations.
