Class Description

The purpose of this class is to provide printing services for the college community.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma/GED and two years related experience working with copiers and/or Digital Presses.

Class Specific Essential Duties

  1. Operate Copiers, digital presses, finishing, and bindery equipment.
  2. Provide quality control, from intake to finishing, for all jobs
  3. Able to effectively communicate, both written and orally.
  4. Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Maintain copyright standards.
  6. Maintain necessary equipment and supplies.
  7. Assist with inventory.

Position Specific Essential Duties

  1. Operate up to four high-speed networked duplicators and digital presses, with assignments coming from all three campuses as necessary for fulfillment requirements and maintain quality control standards through every stage.
  2. Intake work using spreadsheet database to log and track each job through to delivery.
  3. Prioritize jobs that require fast and accurate fulfillment, identify which duplicator device is best suited to the specifications of each job and ensure quality control checkpoints throughout production and delivery.
  4. Provide customer service to faculty, staff and administrators in the submission of jobs, scope of in-house capabilities, copyright permissions as appropriate, and all aspects of policy timelines that will affect the final product.
  5. Operate off-line finishing and bindery equipment as necessary
  6. Manage inventory, ordering and tracking supplies for the campus duplicating center.
  7. Provide instructions and supervision to work-study, student aide, and part-time technician employees.
  8. Keep all hardware and software technical skills up-to-date as the capabilities of digital technology improve.

Supplemental (Retirement Annuities) 403(b) and 457(b)

    The 403(b) supplemental retirement plan is available to all CCBC employees (Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees).
  • Roth 403(b) is a savings feature that is available when you open a 403(b) account. The Roth 403(b) savings feature allows employees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdraw tax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth 403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors:  TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc.  Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature.  Employees may contribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combined for the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
  • Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorization form is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/Human Resources Forms.
Parking
Free. Must obtain a parking permit from the Department of Public Safety to use on all campuses.
