Job Responsibilities

The instructor must demonstrate knowledge of subject matter being taught and hold valid teaching credentials as defined by State Tech., College Policy, SACSCOC and the South Carolina Board of Nursing – LLR criteria. The instructor will teach assigned courses and provide clinical instruction; will review, evaluate and revise course objectives; and will serve as an academic advisor.  Additionally, the instructor will work with the Dean of Nursing to maintain accreditation guidelines and program quality and be able to motivate students and construct effective test instruments that are measurable and congruent to established instructional criteria.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Nursing degree and previous teaching experience is preferred.  Must hold a unencumbered, active license as a registered nurse in South Carolina or another compact state. Two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered or advanced practice nurse.
