Position Summary

Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for dynamic and engaging Psychology Adjunct Faculty to join our team of part-time faculty who are committed to student success.  Candidates who subscribe to the notion of becoming a student-ready college and meeting students where they are, DCCC has a place for you!

Essential Functions

The Business, Computing and Social Science Division is searching for adjunct instructors to teach General Psychology courses at any campus locations--Marple, Downingtown, Exton, Upper Darby, and the Southeast Center beginning in the Fall 2023 semester. These courses provide students with an introduction to the field of teaching and learning. Students will become familiar with teaching as a career choice and state requirements for becoming a certified teacher. The foundations, history, and philosophy of education will be examined, and students will gain an understanding of modern education in our society. Students will also examine the impact of current issues on American education today. Specific courses include specialization in English language learning, special education, teaching with technology, and teaching in the primary grades.

Experience & Education

Qualified candidates must have requisite teaching skills and appropriate college-level teaching experience.  A Masters’ degree in the Psychology or a Master’s in Counseling (with a minimum of 15 credits of coursework in psychology). Candidates will be required to upload official transcripts. Documents will be maintained for one year for possible upcoming positions.
