Description

We seek applicants for a full-time position to coordinate administrative processes and support daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) Office. 

General responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to support and carry out various HR processes, including talent acquisition and employee lifecycle functions
  • Assist employees, prospective employees, and other individuals in obtaining and completing appropriate Human Resources forms and documents
  • Prepare, distribute, and receive new employee packets and related paperwork and respond to related questions; follow-up with employees and supervisors to ensure timely completion of necessary paperwork
  • Assist with assigning, tracking, and completion follow-up for employee onboarding courses, compliance trainings, and performance evaluations
  • Enter, review, and extract data in HR systems to perform tasks as assigned
  • Provide telephone and public reception in a courteous and professional manner
  • Monitor the Human Resources email inbox for inquires and electronic form intake
  • Perform and/or delegate tasks to student employees, including typing, filing, copying/scanning, faxing, sorting and distributing mail, and other office tasks as necessary
  • Assist HR staff with meetings, events, and special projects

Requirements

  • Associate degree or appropriate experience/education
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work inclusively within a diverse campus community
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to problem-solve and to function professionally under pressure

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Work experience in a professional office environment

EMPLOYEE LEAVE
Vacation: 10 days per year with a maximum annual carry-over of 20 days
(In an effort to recognize length of service, these employees will receive additional vacation hours after a certain number of years of service.) 
Sick Leave: 12 days per year with unlimited annual carry-over
Holidays: 12 designated paid holidays plus 3 paid floating days
HCC is closed from Christmas Eve Day through New Year's Day generally resulting in 2-3 additional paid days
