Job Description:

The P/T Jr. Administrative Assistant will exercise administrative judgment in relieving principals of administrative details, providing information to employees and others, answering questions in person, over the phone, via e-mail, etc.  The Assistant will be responsible for performing clerical and secretarial duties, including filing, ordering supplies, copying, and scanning.  They will have access to the supervisors' calendars and prepare important and confidential correspondence, reports, charts, contracts, etc., including budget documents, requisitions, invoices, etc. using various automated systems, applications, and formatting techniques.  The incumbent acts as a liaison within and between departments and with the public, as necessary.  They will perform other duties, as assigned.


Requirements:

The successful candidate must possess a high school or general equivalency diploma and five years of experience where the primary function of the position was in a staff or administrative support capacity, or where the primary function of the position was supervision of clerical positions.  The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, is required.  The ability to effectively use computer applications such as word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments is also required.

 


Additional Information:

WORK SCHEDULE:  The work schedule will be Monday-Friday:  9 am - 3 pm and up to 28 hours per week, with flexibility required.

HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $16.00 per hour. No benefits.
