Job Responsibilities

Maintain the institutions Ellucian Colleague ERP system by providing best practice preventive maintenance and management. Supports all client SQL databases related to Ellucian applications:  Colleague, portal, self-service, data extracts, patches and upgrades, and CRM based products.  The position also provides involves delivery of training through workshops and other faculty professional development opportunities.

  • Configures and maintains the College ERP relational database management system; install, configure, and manage local relational databases, as required; support hosted solutions and ensure DTC has full access to all college data. Evaluate data analysis models and procedures. Manage system and data integrity; regularly monitor system to ensure maximum performance and availability.
  • Provides end-to-end technical support and problem resolution; maintain contact with vendors and software support to escalate problem resolution. Provides cross-functional and after hours support as required. Work with IT operations to protect the database against threats or unauthorized access. Maintains user accounts; create/modify accounts and assign security levels. Conducts account audits on a periodic basis.
  • Assists and documents business processes for departments related to the successful use of Colleague.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Information Technology.
     
     

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Bachelor’s degree plus one (1) year of computer technology experience or related field; or high school diploma and five (5) years of experience with Ellucian Colleague as system enterprise administrator.   Experience with Intrinsic Informer is a plus.

Additional Comments

Proficiency with Microsoft SQL. Knowledge of computer hardware, software, programming languages, analysis, and educational systems. Must understand security and data integrity controls and protocols.
