Position Summary: | This position performs professional librarian functions within a higher education setting. Responsibilities may include providing research and reference services for patrons; information literacy instruction; overseeing various library operations including circulation, material inventory, cataloging, and acquisition; and recommending and implementing policies and procedures. This position reports to the Coordinator of Library Services at North Campus. MLIS candidates with 6 or fewer hours remaining until graduation are encouraged to apply with continued employment contingent on successful completion of the MLIS within two years from the time of employment. |

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | Knowledge of library organization, materials, services, and policies and procedures; knowledge of the principles and methods of evaluating library materials and equipment; effective written and oral communication skills; ability to organize and supervise the work of assigned staff; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, staff of other libraries, and the public; and ability to conduct oneself with tact and courtesy. |

Performs a wide range of library circulation activities which includes: processing incoming and outgoing library materials, obtaining payments for fine, creating and updating patron records; placing materials on hold; communicating library policies and procedures; and/or performing other related activities. |
