We are seeking a candidate with a solid technical and scientific background in cellular electrophysiology and ion channels applied to cardiac disease.
The position qualifications include:
- The candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Physiology, Physics, Biophysics, or related disciplines with at least a 5-year postdoctoral or industry experience.
- Scientific programming and competency in software analysis of electrophysiology signals (Clampfit, Patch Master pro, R, Matlab, Axion Biosystem MEA software or equivalent).
- Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell culture (cell passaging, cardiac differentiation and cell replating)
- Ability to work independently and as a multidisciplinary team member.
- Conducting cardiac electrophysiology investigations that will include setting up and performing experiments, analyzing data, as well as discussing, presenting and publishing scientific results.
- Training and providing standardized protocol for upcoming postdoctoral fellows or students who need to perform electrophysiology experiments.
- Being able to provide electrophysiology expertise to external collaborators within the Stanford CVI and outside the university.

The expected pay range for this position is $92,500 to $100,000 per annum.

The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years since their applicable education, field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal equity; among other factors.
