A SUNY CCC Faculty position is responsible for instruction of curriculum, maintaining student academic records, participating in student advising, college governance, college service and curriculum assessment and development.  Courses will include both introductory and upper level business curriculum. We are a teaching college!

Occasional meetings at different CCC locations and in the community may be required; travel to conferences and/or recruiting events may be required. Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting, primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office/classroom setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information, see in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment & hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Essential Functions

  • Provide instruction of curriculum in traditional, online and hi-flex settings in courses such as Professionalism, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Business Statistics, Business Communications, Office Procedures, Applied Business Math, Elements of Economics, Business Applications and Solutions, etc.
  • Maintain student academic records and census reports, grades and course syllabi.
  • Participate in College Service and Governance.
  • Assess and develop curriculum to maintain and improve existing programs. Faculty are expected to contribute to the development of curriculum for new courses and programs.
  • Provide advising support to students.
  • Assist in program reviews.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Relevant Business Administration experience
  • Experience with teaching at the collegiate level
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Possession of excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Multiple Modalities of instruction including online delivery/experience.
  • Teaching demonstration required of applicants

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:             

  • Bachelor's and Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of Business Administration and/or related teaching experience 
Preferred Qualification: 
  •  MBA Preferred
  • 3 years of experience in a business administration or related field or teaching at the collegiate level to include experience with online delivery
  • Evidence of leadership positions held in either an academic or professional setting
