As of Spring 2021, we currently enroll over 8,100 students in which 45% identify as Latinx, 12% as Asian/Pacific Islander, 3% as Black/African American, 33% as White, 1% as American Indian/Alaska Native, and 6% as multiracial. Clovis Community College is a Hispanic-Serving Institution, reflecting the great responsibility that the College has to the educational attainment and economic well-being of the surrounding community. The successful candidate will join a department dedicated to the use of curriculum responsive to the students it serves. Reporting to the Dean of Student Services at Clovis Community College, the counselor assignment will include responsibility for the Early Alert program and working with probation and dismissal students. Minimum Qualifications | All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices; AND
(NOTE: A bachelor’s degree in one of the listed degrees and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is an alternative qualification for this discipline.) |

Salary and Benefits | Starting rates are $50.58 – $68.69 for lecture and $42.99 – $58.43 for lab. Sick leave accrual is based on assignment hours. |
