General Description

The Coordinator of Vocational Support Services serves as grant coordinator for the Carl D. Perkins formula grant for Wharton County Junior College (WCJC); is responsible for delivery of support services for Perkins special population vocational students, including economically disadvantaged, single parents, , students enrolled in non-traditional fields,  limited English proficiency, disabled, and others as identified in the grant.  Full job description can be viewed by clicking this link and search the job title.

Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education or related field, or be a qualified teacher or counselor.  This position requires three years experience in teaching, advising, counseling, casework, or related activity.  A criminal background check required.

Personal Days
Two personal days per year

Holidays
25 paid holidays per year for twelve month full time employees

Sick Days
1.5 sick days per month - maximum number accrued is 60 days
Nine month employees may accrue 13.50 days per year
Twelve month employees may accrue 18.50 days per year

Vacation Days
Twelve month employees who work 40 hours per week for 12 months - 12 vacation days per year
