Job Description:

The Stiller School of Business is seeking an accounting adjunct instructor with experience in federal taxation for the Fall 2023 semester. Please see specific course description
below. Classes are held on-campus in Burlington, VT. Applicants should live within commuting distance of the Burlington, VT campus. to the classroom.
ACC-325 - Fundamentals of Federal Taxation
Course description: In this course, students will investigate a comprehensive set of personal and corporate tax concepts, structure, and planning strategies. Students will learn a broad range of tax laws, concepts, and research approaches for different types of taxpayers, with emphasis given to the role of taxation in a business decision-making environment.
The course is currently scheduled for an evening time slot once per week, but there may be some flexibility with the time/day. Evening classes run once per week, from 5:30 to 8:15pm. Daytime classes generally meet twice per week for 1 hour and 15 minutes on Mondays and Thursdays or Tuesdays and Fridays. Daytime class meeting times begin at 8:30 am and end at 5:15 pm.  The fall semester runs from August 28 - December 15, 2023.


Requirements:

A minimum of a Master's degree and relevant professional experience are required. Previous teaching experience is helpful but not necessary.
