Position Title: FT Instructor/Assistant Professor of Psychology (On and Off Campus)

Position Classification: Full-Time Nine (9) Month Faculty

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Academic Rank: Instructor

  1. Education - Master's Degree in Psychology or a related field with fifteen graduate credits in psychology required.

  2. Experience - Combination of three (3) years college teaching experience and workforce experience in psychology or a related field preferred.

  3. Skills - Demonstrated use of innovative and culturally responsive teaching and assessment strategies to foster success for all students; Demonstrated use of technology in the classroom; Demonstrated ability to integrate workforce experience into course materials

Academic Rank: Assistant Professor

  1. Education - Master's Degree in Psychology or a related field with 15 graduate credits in psychology required. Doctorate preferred

  2. Experience - Combination of three (3) years college teaching experience and workforce experience in psychology or a related field required.

  3. Skills - Demonstrated use of innovative and culturally responsive teaching and assessment strategies to foster success for all students; Demonstrated use of technology in the classroom; Demonstrated ability to integrate workforce experience into course materials

Position Responsibilities:

Teach psychology courses including but not limited to: General Psychology, Research Methods, Developmental Psychology and Child Psychology as assigned at all LCCC Centers; develop and deliver inclusive, equitable curricula and course materials using on-line resources and learning management systems to engage a diverse student population; conduct assessment of teaching and learning effectiveness at the course and program level; and participate in departmental meetings and activities as requested. Must travel to our Main Campus and all of our dedicated centers.

Entry Salary: Instructor - $37,841/Assistant Professor - $41,292

Standard Work Week: 35 hours
