About SUNY Broome Community College:

SUNY Broome Community College is a comprehensive community college located in the scenic Southern Tier of New York.  The College has over 7,700 students annually, and services over 6,100 students per semester in Liberal Arts, Business & Professional Studies, Health Sciences, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs.  An additional 1,600 students are served through the College's workforce and non-credit programs.


Job Description:

SUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualified applicants for part-time faculty (adjunct) teaching in our Business Programs Department.  These positions are filled on an as-needed basis and are on-going recruitment efforts.  Applicants are contacted/hired for assignments based on college needs.

The Business Programs Department is currently recruiting for adjunct faculty positions to teach online or in person the following academic areas:

  1. Financial and Managerial Accounting
  2. Marketing and Marketing Research
  3. Business Law, Principles of Management
  4. Managing Diversity in Organization

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating Syllabus;
  • Teaching under the guidance of the department chairperson;
  • Helping students master course content;
  • Assessing student learning outcomes
  • Utilizing current learning management system technology (Brightspace) in the performance of job duties;
  • Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics, and
  • Fulfilling other duties as outlined in the faculty contract.


Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.  A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or in a related field is preferred.

Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.

Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
