Position Summary

Victoria College is recruiting for an adjunct instructor to teach private music lessons for alto saxophone.  This position begins in the Fall 2023 semester.

Salary is based on number of students:

$640/per student in the Fall/Spring
$300 payment on one lab in the Fall/Spring
$640/per student in the Summer

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction to students in a meaningful classroom and/or laboratory learning environment.
  • Teach each student a 60 minute lesson once per week
  • Be present for labs 8 times each semester - seminar classes, recitals, and juries

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in music or music education is required as well as two years experience performing in an auditioned ensemble plus:
  • A minimum of 14 undergraduate hours of private lessons in area of teaching and
  • 6 long semesters experience performing in a college band or playing in a college ensemble
  • College teaching preferred
