Position Summary:
The Assistant Director – Emergency Medical Services shall assist in the provision of administrative and quality oversight in the delivery of EMS courses offered through the Continuing Education Division as well as the Emergency Medical Science program in the Academic Programs Division.
The Assistant Director provides support in maintaining full accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Emergency Medical Service professionals (CoAEMSP).

This is an in-person position seated on our North Campus.
Required Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree awarded by a regionally-accredited college or university in related field or Bachelors degree awarded by regionally-accredited college or university with a combination of significant EMS experience as a provider, educator, and supervisor.
  • Minimum five years full-time work experience as a Paramedic, two years of teaching experience, and two years of leadership experience
  • Hold current Level II North Carolina Paramedic Instructor Certification.
  • Knowledgeable concerning current state & national curricula, accreditation, registration, and the requirements for state certification or licensure.
