We seek a highly-motivated individual to pursue computational hemodynamics research in a supportive and collaborative environment. We are developing massively parallel models of microfluidic devices to study cancer cell transport.  We have an NIH-funded project to develop digital twins of these devices and to broaden the metrics measured in a high throughput setting.  This work will be completed as part of a wider multidisciplinary team developing mechanical models of cancer cell transport. This position is available for immediate hire with a 1-year term and opportunity for additional annual renewal contingent on performance and funding availability. The applicant must be detail-oriented, independent, proactive, well-organized, and able to manage multiple and changing priorities as needed to move experiments and the research program forward, in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to research and work ethic, and a positive attitude are required for this team-based position. 


Minimum Requirements: 

  • Candidates should have relevant research experience and hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another related field 
  • Excellent knowledge of computational fluid dynamics 
  • Experience with fluid-structure-interaction models
  • Experience with C programming 
  • Research experience
