Job Description:

The Division of Liberal Studies invites applications for the following anticipated adjunct faculty vacancy for the Fall 2023 semester in our Early College High School Program:

  • SPE102: Speech (Dual Language: Spanish Fluency Required)
  • SPE106: Interpersonal Communication
  • PSY102: Introduction to Psychology (Dual Language: Spanish Fluency Required)
  • FFL103: Understanding Higher Education (Dual Language: Spanish Fluency Required)
  • FFL100: First Year Experience
  • PHI116: Ethics
  • CMP101: Composition 1
  • ART110: Basic Drawing

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in field with graduate-level credit in subject area required. 
  • Experience scaffolding rigorous academic content for high school students
  • Teaching experience 
  • Familiarity with critical studies (i.e., Critical Race Theory, Critical White Studies, Gender and Women's Studies) and understanding of appropriate applications for teaching.
  • Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI background check as a condition of employment at both the college and the respective high school.
  • Fluency in Spanish (preferred)

COVID VACCINATION REQUIREMENT:
Candidates for employment should be aware that all North Shore Community College students, faculty and staff are required to be fully vaccinated by January, 2022. Accordingly, initial employment is dependent upon receipt and verification of full vaccination status records; details of how to fulfill vaccine record verification requirements will be provided during the hire and onboarding process.


Additional Information:

Salary: Adjunct salaries are dependent upon the number of credit hours. This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.
