The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director of the Foundation, the Donor Relations Manager oversees the Columbia-Greene Community College Foundation’s gift processing, manages comprehensive donor stewardship program, and administers the Foundation’s scholarship award management system in collaboration with College partners.  The Donor Relations Manager also serves as the Secretary to the Foundation Board of Directors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the accurate and timely entry of all gifts into the Foundation database including:
    • Maintenance of updated policies and procedures related to donor information collection and gift entry and processing.
    • Preparation of gift receipts and acknowledgement letters.
    • Maintenance of donor database, performing systematic cleanup, imports/exports, global updates, attributes, and code table management, as well as routine maintenance when needed.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Director of Accounting for gift processing, recording, and reconciliation.
  • Manage the Foundation scholarship awards process in collaboration with the Dean of Enrollment Management to ensure:
    • Maximum scholarship funds are distributed, and
    • Scholarship criteria and spending guidelines are followed, and
    • Funds are administered in alignment with overall College enrollment goals and strategies.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive donor stewardship program and calendar for all donors that includes:
    • Gift acknowledgement and donor recognition,
    • Reporting on grant usage and outcomes,
    • Demonstration of the impact and outcomes of giving to donors at all levels.
  • Support the Executive Director, Board committees and outside consultants with planning, coordinating, and implementing special events, both fundraising and non-fundraising throughout the year.
  • In collaboration with the Executive Director, coordinate mass annual appeals, communications with constituents, and website updates.
  • Provide executive administrative support to the Executive Director, especially related to Foundation Board activities.
  • Performs other duties as

Qualifications

  • An articulated belief in the mission of Columbia-Greene Community College, and the importance of community college education
    • Community college experience is a plus.
  • At least three years’ experience in development or transferable skills
  • Excellent communication skills, emphasizing strong creative and business writing.
  • Previous experience with a constituent relationship management system
    • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge is a plus.
  • Proficient in office technologies
    • Microsoft / Teams is a plus.

Salary and Benefit Information

Salary $58,656. Adjunct Faculty Members

The Office of Academic Affairs at Columbia-Greene Community College wants to build its part-time adjunct faculty pool.  We are seeking qualified candidates to teach college-level and developmental courses in the following academic divisions:

  • Arts and Humanities
  • Business, Mathematics, and Technology
  • Natural and Social Sciences
  • Health Professions

The courses taught could potentially be online or in-person on the Hudson campus.

The Opportunity

The Division of Natural and Social Sciences at Columbia-Greene Community College is seeking qualified candidates to teach the following courses in our Prison Education Program beginning Fall 2024:

  • Contemporary Environmental Issues

Class sessions are held at Brookwood Secure Center, serving male and female juvenile and adolescent offenders in Claverack, New York where students are enrolled in an Associate in Applied Science degree program.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in science or relevant field.
  • Willingness to complete application and background check with the Office of Children and Family Services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous instructional experience.
  • Experience teaching in incarcerated settings.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, gender, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of students.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all recruiting activities for the program and with the Admissions/Athletic Department liaison and adheres to all institutional admissions policies and procedures on a consistent basis.
  • Plans and implements various phases of coaching, recruiting, training, conditioning, practices, game preparation and fundraising.
  • Provides full supervision during travel, as well as prior to and following games and practices.
  • Completes national, regional and conference reports and logs.
  • Assists in scheduling of games and record keeping for designated sport.
  • Drives college vehicles to away games.
  • Assists each athlete to hand in official transcripts, certificate of residence, physical form, and MMR verification prior to their first practice.
  • Acquaints athletes with Code of Conduct and NJCAA eligibility requirements.
  • Submits meal money rosters in advance.
  • Files injury/incident reports in a timely manner.
  • Reports all scores and provides professional details of game to area press following each game.
  • Completes required materials related to Athletic Awards and attends annual ceremony.
  • Ensures all practices and contests are conducted with professionalism and the highest standards of sportsmanship and integrity are maintained.
  • Schedules regular office hours with student athletes.

Minimum qualifications

HS diploma, coaching experience with ages 15 and up, knowledge of specific sport, excellent communication and organizational skills, valid driver’s license, evening and weekend travel for recruitment and competitions, well-developed time management and organizational skills, final job offer contingent on background check.

Preferred qualifications

Associate degree or higher, college coaching experience, previous college playing experience, knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations.
