Examples of Duties

Duties and Responsibilities:

General:


 
  • Assists with greeting visitors and responds to telephone and email inquiries
  • Types a variety of documents
  • Assists with general filing and data entry
  • Assists faculty in copying and scanning of documents
  • Assists with Open Lab Hours in the Fine Arts Fabrication Lab
  • Assists with maintaining supplies and equipment in the Fine Arts Fabrication Lab and the
    Fine Arts Studio spaces
  • Assists with planning, preparation, and/or implementation of Fine Arts community outreach programming
  • Assists with the preparation of special events and projects such as annual Literary and Arts publication, Estuaries, Arts Month, etc.
  • Assist in research of grants to fund/outfit a new art facility for the Elizabeth City campus
  • Maintains A&S program bulletin boards in the hallways and in the classrooms
  • Ensures classrooms are stocked with classroom supplies
  • Provides faculty with classroom technology assistance and support
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Operate the Fine Arts Innovation Center Welcome Desk 

Typical Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Ability to use: computer and copier
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, organizational skills, and self-directed
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Drive

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working advanced technologies (3D Printers, CNC Router, etc) or the desire/capability to learn such technologies.
