Position Summary:

The American Physical Society (APS) seeks an Honors Program Manager to drive the APS Society and Unit recognition programs, shaping a diverse, global landscape of honorees. As the orchestrator of our Honors Program, you'll collaborate closely with volunteers and APS leadership to ensure impeccable execution of our annual APS Fellows, Awards, and Historic Sites selections. Your role as the Honors Program Manager will be at the heart of making dreams of recognition a reality for physicists worldwide. You'll guide the journey from nomination to spotlight, working with the best and brightest in the field and overseeing the coordination of prestigious events. APS has a “remote first” concept that promotes equal treatment and equal access within the United States, independent of physical work location, with a majority of staff working primarily from remote work locations. Responsibilities:
Travel: The position requires travel to recognition ceremonies and reception events as part of its core responsibilities, as well as additional travel as assigned.
Salary:
The salary range for this role considers the factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. APS's Compensation Philosophy is to manage salaries at the midpoint of the market. Therefore, it is the practice to hire within the entry - midpoint range.
Full Range: $86,165k/year - $129,247k/year (USD)
Target Range: $86,165k/year - $107,706k/year (USD)
Work Environment:
As noted above, APS offers a “Remote First” workplace. Although our Editorial Offices are located on Long Island, you can work from other places in the United States. We are flexible about work hours, but expect responsiveness during the core of the workday, Eastern Time.
