Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | The Maryland Crime Research and Innovation Center (MCRIC) engages with academics across the University of Maryland system and communities, practitioners, and policy makers, in Maryland and nationwide, to provide data-driven research and data analysis to inform crime reduction strategy and enhance public safety. The Center offers academic expertise, conducts research, integrates data, builds partnerships between government, academia, and industry, and develops and evaluates innovative criminal justice strategies aimed at preventing and reducing crime. The Senior Faculty Specialist will join a multi-disciplinary research team consisting of faculty, research staff, graduate students, and community partners. The primary duties and responsibilities of the job include:
The development of an independent line of research is encouraged and will be supported through MCRIC including developing a portfolio of external awards. |
