Description

Responsible for providing wrap-around student services to MI-BEST program participants.

Duties

1. Recruits and guides students around barriers, assists with student learning in the classroom, meets with
students on a timely basis to ensure their progress, and works closely with instructors;
2. Monitors and assesses training to assure quality;
3. Completes necessary documentation of services performed;
4. Collaborates with and assists the LACES data manager to ensure input of MIBEST information is accurate and
on time;
5. Cross-trains to provide back up for other Adult Education staff;
6. Ensure that grant activities are scheduled and accomplished on time and on budget;
7. Attend and conduct professional development as required by the grant;
8. Ensure attainment of grant objectives;
9. Conduct reporting as required by the MI-BEST Grant;
10. Obtains knowledge of Workforce and Community Services’ programs to communicate a working knowledge of
the various training programs and services;
11. Collaborates with MTED staff and faculty on recruiting events and tours of the CTE programs;
12. Assembles a diverse team to market programs to the community;
13. Reports recruiting efforts to the Adult Education Director;
14. Effectively communicates with, cooperates with, and supports other college personnel in daily activities;
15. Participates in EMCC and divisional staff meetings;
16. Participates in minimum twenty hours of AE-approved professional development

Qualifications and Required Documents

Education: Master’s degree, preferred;  Bachelor’s degree, required.

Skills: Excellent computer, organizational, verbal, and written skills.

Work Experience include required number of years documented experience in a
comparable/related position:
2 years of relevant experience required

Other Qualifications:  
Documented successful experience may be substituted for formal degrees
