Job Description

PROJECT COORDINATOR, Mechanical Engineering (MechE)-Traverso Lab, to directly support Professor Giovanni Traverso and the senior program manager and contribute to the overall operations and program management of the Traverso Lab, a multidisciplinary group of researchers and staff that support initiatives focused on developing clinically-relevant solutions to human diseases.  Key responsibilities will be allocated towards the program operations of multiple, major, federally-funded programs, including a new federally-funded program with funding of ~$66M over five years.  Will be responsible for program oversight, sponsor relations, weekly coordination of technical meetings, addressing sponsor reporting requirements, monitoring funds, and launching administrative systems in the lab’s new office/lab space.  Will also be responsible for maintaining and improving the processing systems that contribute to the efficient operations of the Traverso Lab.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in a related field; at least two years of experience in an administrative, operations, and/or project management role; excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work effectively with people at all levels, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work independently and as part of a team; meticulous attention to detail; flexibility and adaptable to changes; ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and database management; and comfort using both PCs and Macs. Salary range:  $58,000 - 75,000, based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity.
