Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide leadership and guidance to ensure effective management of College Contracts, Physical Plant, Print Shop, and Property Inventory Departments. Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise these department directors. Represent and assist the VP for Finance and Administration in College administrative matters. Participate in College meetings and committees.

 

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Reviews and provides recommendations for processes and procedures related to maintenance and support operations.  

  2. Advises and assists the Vice President of Finance and Administration on relevant policies, practices, procedures and background relating to issues brought before the VP of Finance and Administration. Investigates and provides context on issues presented to the VP of Finance and Administration.

  3. Develops and drafts new administrative procedures, rules, and regulations.  Evaluates, recommends, and trains staff. 

  4. Provides vision and leadership to efforts overseeing the annual strategic planning process, category reviews, and customer and employee engagement surveys.

  5. Facilitates rule and procedure development for the finance division. Coordinates involvement in the review of College policies and rules and procedures. Ensures compliance with State laws and College policies and procedures.

  6. Facilitates audits pertaining to third-party contracts and plant and support operations.

  7. Reviews and approves third-party contracts for services.  Reviews and approves maintenance and operations work orders, budgets, and purchase requests. Develops reporting mechanisms to provide monthly plant and support services financial information.  Reviews budgets for sponsored projects and provides recommendations for processes and procedures related to the procurement of goods and services. 

  8. Works on special projects as needed.

Required:

  • Master's Degree in Business, or related field.

  • Five or more years of business administration, finance, and supervisory experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.
