Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | The University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS) is seeking a graduate assistant with a multimedia experience to join its communications team. The strongest candidate will have the flexibility of choosing either a 10- or 20-hour work week. During the summer, this can be extended to either 20 or 40 hours depending on the graduate assistant’s preference. As part of the UMIACS communications team, the graduate assistant will have the opportunity to hone their multimedia skills while promoting research on a variety of technologies ranging from artificial intelligence, quantum, and cybersecurity, to linguistics, the microbiome sciences, and virtual and augmented reality. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Education: This position is only open to students enrolled in a degree program as a full-time graduate student at the University of Maryland in good academic standing. Knowledge, SKills and Abilities: Eligible candidates will have strong skills in at least two of the four areas listed below. Please elaborate on these skills in your cover letter and include samples as indicated.
