Job Description
This is a full-time non-tenured faculty position for someone to teach Stage Craft, Theatre Production, and/or Computer-Aided Design.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promote and design technical production programs and tech relate courses.
  • Recruit, train, and coach students in technical production-related activities.
  • Mentor tech students in pursuing internships, graduate school, and other professional opportunities.
  • Coordinate local and out-of-town travel conferences and/to intercollegiate competitions.
  • Provide technical support for productions, programs, and other events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
EDUCATION:
  • Master’s degree preferred, significant graduate coursework or terminal degree in Theatre related area is required.


EXPERIENCE:
  • Three (3) years of teaching experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to use different teaching modalities, face-to-face and Online teaching.
  • Prior experience working with diverse population of students in urban environment.
  • Must have notable teaching success, preferably in teaching and mentoring students in design/technical areas.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of sound, props, rigging, theatre technology, and lighting systems.
