Position Description
Lincoln Land Community College is seeking candidates for a part-time ECG Technician Instructor who will be responsible for a variety of teaching/learning activities that prepare students for a position as an ECG Technician.                

The position will include classroom and hands-on laboratory teaching. Duties will include: 
  • Preparing lessons and updating course syllabi as needed 
  • Evaluating and assisting students 
  • Keeping accurate records of student performance, including following grading procedures 
  • Providing students with timely feedback 
  • Collaborating with the program coordinator to address and resolve student concerns, proactively identifying potential barriers to a positive learning environment, and promptly reporting and managing any incidents that may arise in the classroom setting. 
  • Utilizing instructional technology in support of the teaching/learning process. 
  • Developing, integrating, evaluating, and reviewing student learning outcomes. 
  • Tracking consumable lab supply inventory and working with program coordinator to ensure timely replenishment of stock. 
  • Providing support, guidance, and advice to students during ECG/EKG clinical performance. 
  • Conducting all coordination and preparation for classes and skills labs.
  • Preparing students for the National Health career Association (NHA) exam by providing instruction on topics such as physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and laboratory procedures.
 
Instructor’s pay will be no less than $33 per hour. Work schedule will depend on student enrollment and class demand.  
Position Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
 
  • Experience working as a ECG/EKG Technician
  •  Proficiency in delivering instruction through active learning methods that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Capacity to plan, choose, prepare, and execute suitable active learning activities to fulfill all course competencies.
  • Capability to create, employ, and update course competencies and summaries.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Competence in maintaining proficiency in the respective occupational field.
  • Teaching experience in a clinical or classroom setting is preferred.
