Basic Function/Definition | Provide short-term counseling for students who are struggling with issues such as stress, anxiety, anger, depression, grief, healing from trauma, building healthy relationships, understanding gender and sexuality, and managing life transitions, utilizing the knowledge and application of principles, theories, methods, and practices of psychological interventions, personality development, psychopathology, learning, and behavior. |
Essential Duties | Duties and Responsibilities: The duties below are representative of the position and not intended to cover all of the duties performed. All assignments and work schedules can include day and evening hours, as assigned by the Director of Student Health & Psychological Services.

Minimum Qualifications | Master’s in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, or career development; Bachelor’s in any of the above and a license as a Marriage, Family, and Child Counselor; A current California license or registration as a Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Psychologist or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) Demonstrate a sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. |

Responsibilities | |
Foreign Degrees | Any degree from a country other than the United States, including Canada and Great Britain, must be evaluated by an Evaluation Service prior to the closing date. Certification must be attached with copies of transcripts. |

Working Conditions | Individual counseling services will be provided in the Student Health Center, for students to access both in-person and virtually. Group counseling, workshops, and outreach events will take place in various on-campus venues |
