Job Description

EVIDENCE TO SCALE ASSOCIATE, Economics/Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), to join the Evidence to Scale (E2S) vertical, working closely with J-PAL’s E2S management and leadership.  J-PAL Global’s Evidence to Scale (E2S) vertical plays a key role in supporting the J-PAL network and its partners in the process of translating rigorous evidence into policy and practice at scale.  The principal duties and responsibilities will center on facilitating organizational learning at J-PAL on evidence use, scale, and government partnerships; identifying, developing, and managing related tools and resources; and managing the Innovation in Government Initiative and supporting efforts to mobilize funding.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree with coursework in public policy, public administration, international development, international affairs, economics, or a related field; at least two years of relevant work experience; and demonstrated academic interest in rigorous evidence about poverty alleviation.  PREFERRED:  at least one year of experience living and preferably also working in a low- or middle-income country; and knowledge of French, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Bahasa Indonesia, or other languages spoken in our regions of work. Job #23694
