Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, and maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen. This role requires a dynamic individual who can efficiently manage kitchen staff, oversee food preparation, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. |
Specific Position Duties | • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and in a timely manner. • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, conducting stock takes, and minimizing waste. • Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations, ensuring the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times. • Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment. • Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop menu items, special promotions, and improve customer satisfaction. • Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; arrange for maintenance as required. • Manage kitchen budgets and keep detailed records of costs. • Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen and resolve them in a timely and effective manner. |
Minimum Qualifications | • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment. • Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification is preferred. • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures. • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions. • A passion for food and a commitment to quality and innovation. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. |
