General Summary
The Lead Academic Success Coach, Applied Bachelor Programs is responsible for the recruitment, development, registration, implementation and evaluation of Odessa College’s Bachelor’s Degree programs, including student enrollment and academic programming. The Lead is responsible for recruiting students, advising students, and cultivating internal and external partnerships that involve all Bachelor programs. The Lead will also serve as representation of the program on the college curriculum committee and work in consultation with Department Chairs on program staffing and coordination on the main campus and extension sites. Responsibilities include but are not limited to traditional recruitment, advising and pathway planning, and development of communication deliverables with the Instructional Schools, as well as on campus and off campus outreach. The Coordinator will work closely with division leaders in Academic Partnerships, Instruction, Student Services and Enrollment Management, Continuing Education, and Advancement.
Specific Position Duties
Lead and manage Bachelor Degree Program Design for Completion Teams; Leverage technology and high-engagement strategies to connect with students, staff and faculty and business partners; Manage all aspects of Odessa College’s Bachelor Degree enrollment and facilitate Bachelor’s Degree recruitment efforts/communication and participation in special events, college fairs, campus tours, registration events. Maintain Bachelor prospective and current student communication via the CRM; Advise and mentor Bachelor Degree seeking prospective and current college students in skills needed to be successful in program; Prepare and present workshops on student success related topics as needed; Advise students, including but not limited to selective admissions, degree selection, financial aid, scholarships graduation, probation, suspension, and TSIA; Teach contextualized (learning frameworks) courses as needed; Facilitate early alerts and other retention activities and initiatives; Support students in developing a Bachelor educational plan and strategies to improve student success and facilitate completion; Monitor Bachelor student pace and progress; Develop and maintain positive working relationships with faculty and staff; Coordinate efforts with Department Chairs/Directors in scheduling and organizing course sequencing and pathways in the Bachelor programs; Support Bachelor college orientation and programming in coordination with Student Life and Instructional Schools; Serve as Bachelor TACRAO Liaison; Supervise assessment procedures (including all reports that are part of the Division of Instruction and Institutional Effectiveness), Coordinate curriculum development in Bachelor courses; Assist Department Chair/Directors in the coordination of BAAS/BAS program portfolios and student Internships; Maintain professional knowledge of the role by attending professional development (including internal and external seminars, workshops and conferences). Contributes to and participate in campus-wide success initiatives to transform OC into the number one community college in the nation; Actively participate in OC campus activities including graduation and community service; All other duties as assigned; Support and coordination of college wide outreach events including but not limited to Permian Basin Fair, K-12 and Business Partners events, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution; Academic experience is
encouraged, but not required. Evidence of ability to instruct/motivate students at the
college level; Demonstrated understanding of the variety of challenges facing a community college student; Demonstrated ability to develop positive mentoring relationships with a diverse student and faculty population; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Demonstrated computer and web abilities, including Microsoft Suite, and other programs/systems; Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution, plus academic experience.

Work Hours Business Hours Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:30, Friday 8:00-1:00 Summer Hours Monday- Thursday 7:30-5:30
