Kleinfelder's Southern California Area is hiring a Labor Compliance Specialist to join our team! The Labor Compliance Specialist performs tasks throughout the project lifecycle in support of contracts, budget, schedule, and reporting activities. Regularly participates in administration of contract and task orders including budget baseline, generation of cost proposals and pricing materials, and monitoring of financial performance, and subconsultant management; Effectively monitors and manages project within the designated accounting and management software tool (Deltek) including review of project charges, staffing plans, work breakdown structure, subcontracts and master work agreements and other direct project cost;. Performs a variety of accounting tasks related to contract and task order administration including completion of monthly invoice packages, collections, client calls, daily review of outstanding AR, accounting adjustments, resolving short payments and analyzing of client accounting forms and guidelines; Performs labor compliance tasks including review of certified payroll, and management of various labor compliance systems. Assists with assigned contract and task order review and analysis including review of insurance requirements, specialized provisions, and contract language. Works independently under minimal supervision from Manager, using knowledge of the industry to accomplish goals and objectives and to solve problems of moderate scope.
The Labor Compliance Specialist will:
Requirements: Self-motivated, minimal supervision, detail-oriented professional with minimum 3-4 years of related experience to include project and accounting experience. Advanced skills in Excel including high-level spreadsheet functions preferred. Knowledge of applicable prevailing wage laws, regulations, and requirements desirable.
Education: Associates' degree from a two-year college in finance, business, project management or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting preferred. California Prevailing Wage / Federal Davis Bacon training is preferred.
Experience: Well-developed presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate team collaboration, communication, organization, and self-prioritization skills.
