Position Summary:
We are looking to hire a hard-working and experienced lead line cook to supervise all food preparation activities and ensure that high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained. The lead line cook’s responsibilities include assisting the Kitchen Manager in preparing entrées, advising our line cooks on suitable portion sizes, and ensuring that food items are stored at the correct place & temperatures.
Specific Position Duties
• Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and in a timely manner.
• Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations, ensuring the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times.
• Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive
• Collaborate with the Kitchen manager to develop menu items, special promotions, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; arrange for maintenance as required.
• Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen and resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
Minimum Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to train and motivate staff.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
• A passion for food and a commitment to quality and innovation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to lift heavy supply boxes.
• Highly organized individual
