Position Summary:
We are looking for a Guest Service Manager to help run the service side of our restaurant & caterings. In this position, you will train, create shift schedules, and ensure that the front-of-house (FOH) runs smoothly. You are ultimately responsible for customer satisfaction, so you must make sure your staff is providing excellent customer service. The guest service manager plays a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and maintaining a positive image for the establishment. By providing exceptional service, effective communication, and a welcoming atmosphere, you will contribute to the overall success of the restaurant. Several years of experience working in restaurants, preferably with some time spent in a supervisory role is a plus.
Specific Position Duties
  • Deliver professional greetings of clients and guests, to the highest standards.
  • Ensure the team leaders and supervisors coordinate their staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional front of house services.
  • Implement dynamic operational working procedures, to support the delivery of service excellence.
  • Develop strong communication and line reporting procedures to guide service implementation making improvements or changes where required.
  • Implement safe working practices to ensure safety of building occupiers and guests.
  • Supervise staff and help with breakfast, lunch, and catering services.
  • Serve guests to the restaurant’s standards and maintain a comfortable dining environment.
  • Inform the kitchen and waiting staff of any allergies, food requirements, complaints, or changes to orders.
  • Maintain stock of necessary product
  • Ensure guests stay safe and orderly within the restaurant.
  • Set tables and ensure they’re ready for the next guest.
  • Train new staff members
  • Enforce restaurant standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Several years of restaurant experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Communication abilities
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
