Job Description | |
Responsibilities: | The School of Health, Exercise Science an Athletics is seeking an adjunct professor to instruct aquatic classes. The classes will be composed of both swimming and aquatic exercise classes. This position requires availability for day and evening class assignments. Other Duties: Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, the following: attending faculty meetings, teaching all scheduled classes and maintaining office hours, class preparation, participation in curriculum and SLO development and promotion of the aquatic courses at Southwestern College throughout the community. |

Education & Experience: | |
Minimum Qualifications (Faculty and Academic Administrator Positions Only) | Master’s in physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education |
Desired Qualifications: | |
Licenses and Other Requirements: | A successful candidate will have previous continued experience with instruction or have a current Water Safety Instruction Certificate. |
Working Conditions: | |
Salary: | Teaching Positions (PT Instructor) = $66.77 to $73.23 per lecture hour AND $53.43 to $58.60 per lab hour. Finalized Salary Placement is based on units beyond a bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree conferred. |
Salary Schedule: | Academic Part-time (Instructional) |
Work Schedule: | Successful candidate may be assigned to any of the campus sites (Chula Vista, National City, Otay Mesa, and/or San Ysidro). |
