Description
This position is responsible for the management and movement of material from receipt to production, including quality inspection and acceptance; the accurate reporting of MRP items to procurement and production personnel; the movement and accountability of finished goods to other sites; and the movement and excessing of obsolete equipment. Duties may include developing material identification and acquisition requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules; receiving new material, shipping material and finished goods, and providing the status of material currently in the ERP system; planning and managing material movement with purchasing and production; and managing overall inventory cycle count operations. This position is also responsible for serving as a secondary procurement professional and shipping and receiving agent.
This position is expected to work with a great deal of independence to successfully achieve high level objectives that significantly contribute to the development and delivery of items covered under the contract. This non-supervisory position will be required to provide status reports to Production and Program Managers on a routine basis.
