SUMMARY
Supports Planning product development for routine, complex and special projects. Ensures products developed support planning policy, and is in accordance with PFP manual. Understanding Material Ordering Schedule (MOS), including VFI needs through IYND's. Provides outfitting/steel/paint work breakdown and sequencing based on established production rates as required. Has general knowledge of the inner workings of Material Resource Planning (MRP) system and prefer (MACPAC) experience. Reports to Supervisor or Manager. Interfaces with Supply Chain, Engineering, Planning and Production groups. Knowledge of change management, strategization, palletization and budget processes

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work occurs in both an outdoor shipyard environment and in an office setting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing. Requires ability to commute physically to various areas of the shipyard including but not limited to shipboard activities. Must be capable of ascending/descending stairs or ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, and transiting through manholes and other confined, congested spaces. Physical dexterity must allow for bending and reaching. Must remain alert and comply with all safety requirements. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed occasionally to dust, fumes, and smoke. Must be able to spend up to 50% of time in an outdoor shipyard environment in all climates. The noise level is relatively low to moderate in office environments. The noise level in the outdoor shipyard production environment is moderate to noisy 70% of time which may include sirens, horns, chipping, and hammering.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Responsible to the department Supervision for preparation, verification, and distribution of accurate and timely planning products, and budgeting in accordance with department policy. Internal contacts are primarily with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production Management. To a minor degree, interaction is maintained on a regular basis with Finance, Cost Engineering, Program Management, Facilities, Materials, Repair, and Business Development. This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role.
