Job Summary
Coordinate and manage the IT inventory, IT hardware purchasing, and IT hardware replacement budgets and provide administrative support for the Associate Vice President of Technology Services.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree; or Associate’s Degree (or equivalent – 60 college credit hours) and a minimum of two years of relevant experience that includes demonstrated work experience with detail-oriented tasks of a significant nature
  • Customer service focus

  • Bookkeeping skills
  • Knowledge of general office equipment
  • Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office suite with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College’s insurance policy
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior clerical and general office experience in a school or college administration setting
  • Data entry experience
  • Experience working with budgets
  • Experience with imaging software, indexing documents, and SharePoint
Essential Functions
  • Coordinate with Technology Services leadership to develop and maintain IT inventory including adding new equipment to inventory system and completing proper transaction records for IT equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring IT inventory system
  • Coordinate IT hardware ordering for campus
  • Facilitate IT hardware requests from other departments
  • Assist the AVP with general office duties, including receptionist, telephone communication, and public contact
  • Assist the AVP with the office correspondence and communications and coordination of IT Technology Services areas and departments
  • Order supplies and equipment, which includes preparing purchase orders, invoicing, and record keeping, as well as maintaining office equipment and supplies
  • Oversee and coordinate office payroll and personnel records
  • Prepare agenda and maintain minutes for meetings as requested
  • Responsible for IT staff travel arrangements
  • Responsible for collection of travelers’ receipts to include proper reconciliation with purchasing
  • Prepare requisitions for the department
  • Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move or drive to other locations on and off campus
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
  • Use of manual dexterity
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
  • Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Duties indoors and some outdoors
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Security Sensitivity
All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation.
Min Salary $40,100 (annualized salary)
Max Salary $42,000 (annualized salary)
Pay Statement Salary is commensurate with educational qualifications and experience.
