Position Description
The Ingram School of Engineering of Texas State University invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position in Industrial Engineering. This position will focus on the design and operations of intelligent and sustainable logistics, transportation, and supply chain systems using Optimization, Simulation, and Machine Learning techniques. The candidate is expected to write journal papers and contribute to proposals. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as evidenced by a prolific publication record, are necessary.

The Postdoctoral researcher will report to Dr. Wenquan Dong. This is a twelve-month appointment, renewable annually for up to two years based on performance and fund availability. The compensation package includes a competitive salary, health benefits, career mentoring, and any required travel.

This position is subject to the availability of funds.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of Optimization, Simulation, or Data Science
- Familiar with programming and optimization software/packages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent publication record
- Grant proposal writing experience
