Essential Job Duties
Duties Include:
  • Open and close the garden and facilities for rentals, programs or general visitation
  • Set up and/or facilitate meetings, programs & events at the JC Raulston Arboretum
  • Ensure groups have access to space and equipment at agreed times
  • Provide AV setup and support
  • Guest services – greet visitors, answer questions, sell t-shirts or various merchandise, answer telephone, provide information for a great guest experience
  • Assist in keeping facilities tidy
  • Assist with Arboretum Public Events

Requirements and Preferences

Work Schedule Up to 20/hrs per week, mostly on nights and weekends, flexible with event/program needs

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must be able to driver a golf cart and gator to move chairs and tables
  • Must be comfortable working indoors or outdoors, rain or shine
  • Be able to work independently
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends and some holidays
  • Must have access to email and phone throughout work day

  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with google sheets
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy
