Job Description
Hydraulic Modelers, HDR Engineering, Inc., 591 Camino de la Reina, Suite 300, San Diego, CA: Will support the design and hydraulic evaluation of new or existing water distribution systems and collection systems. Job duties include: Developing hydraulic models using GIS data and as-built drawings; Collecting and assessing field data for hydraulic model calibration; Analyzing flow, demand, population, water quality, and facilities condition data; Performing hydraulic analyses utilizing a variety of software programs; Performing technical research into product information, design codes, and regulatory standards; Preparing technical reports and master plans, including the development of text, tables and figures; Communicating effectively with all project team members; Maintaining task/project budgets and schedules; Managing multiple priorities and deadlines; and Assisting with marketing activities, including client outreach and proposal development for water/wastewater engineering and hydraulic analysis projects. Regularly use the following tools/technologies: GIS, various hydraulic modeling software packages, Microsoft Office Suite. Regional travel may be required periodically, typically <5% annually. Telecommuting permitted depending on project location.

Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (foreign equivalent degree accepted) and 3 years of experience in any related occupation performing hydraulic analysis and modeling. Pre- and post- masters degree experience accepted. Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Environmental Exam or possess an (EIT) certification from any U.S. jurisdiction. Basic pay range is one hundred four thousand nine hundred fifteen dollars to one hundred fifty-six thousand, three hundred ten dollars per year for full-time employment and standard company benefits.
