Job Description

RESEARCH TECHNICIAN, Biology-Case Lab, to join a growing research team studying cell signaling. The lab uses quantitative experimental approaches from biochemistry, molecular biophysics, and cell biology to study transmembrane signaling pathways and how they are misregulated in diseases like cancer. The work will involve molecular cloning, protein expression, protein purification, and mammalian tissue culture.  Will also assist with day-to-day operational tasks, including inventory management, general lab management, and reagent maintenance.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; exposure to a research lab; excellent organizational, problem-solving, analytical, time management, and verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated attention to detail; self-direction/motivation; ability to work with colleagues to achieve project goals; practiced documentation skills; awareness of and ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment; and the ability to respond to a rapidly evolving work environment involving concurrent projects and responsibilities. PREFERRED:  bachelor’s degree that included coursework in biology, biochemistry, and/or chemistry; experience with molecular cloning, protein purification, or mammalian tissue culture.  Job #23925-4
