Job Description | Are you looking for somewhere to start your career? Are you curious to find out how things work? The Utilities and Maintenance department is responsible for the efficient operation, management and upkeep of all campus electricity, heating and cooling, as well as the repair and upkeep of all electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and roofing maintenance at the University. The team of engineers, power plant operators, zone managers, technicians, mechanics and administrators service over 11 million gross square feet of campus facilities and lead the University’s efforts to reduce its carbon emissions footprint by 50 percent by 2030. The “B/C” Instrumentation & Controls Technician position will perform as directed necessary maintenance, calibration, repairs, testing and commissioning required to provide safe, efficient and reliable operation of all instrumentation and control devices and systems associated with the Power Plant Complex. They will conduct compliance audits and calibrations to ensure optimum accuracy for records and reports. They will make major repairs or modifications to upgrade present equipment as well as respond to emergency situations whenever they occur, and implement any and all needed corrective measures. |
