Job Description | The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Baker 3 within the department of Center for Culinary Excellence. The UEE division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives. Why this position? The Baker 3 position is responsible for assisting in the production and execution of recipes following accepted culinary practices in a high volume, fast-paced atmosphere. This position reports directly to the Assistant Pastry Chef, supporting the mission and goals of a “best in class” dining program for students and guests of Notre Dame. The lead baker is in charge of the bakery in the absence of the executive or assistant pastry chef. Some duties include but not limited to, staff training, printing/ assigning production as needed, assisting with inventory counts, recipe testing and assist in developing new products. He/she will also complete or assist in completing general assignments related to the scaling, mixing, cooking/ baking, assembly, and decorating of bakery goods through standards of service and hospitality, ensuring the Notre Dame Community and guests with the very best food and service.
