Class Description

The purpose of this class is to provide part time professional level administrative support services to Training and Organizational Development in the Human Resources Department. Set up and maintain employee training records. Coordinate, facilitate, and disseminate training information. Utilize current technology and software tools and possess the aptitude to learn newly introduced technology.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business or related field. and three years of experience directly supporting training opportunities for an employee population and adult learners. Professional experience in a higher education environment. 

Class Specific Essential Duties

  1. Coordinate New Hire Orientation (NHO) with partners and collaborators. Work with HR staff to determine annual calendar of NHO sessions. Maintain a NHO portfolio of resources in MS Teams for newly hired staff. Assist in the facilitation of NHO by tracking attendance, managing the transitions between speakers, and presenting introduction/welcoming module if needed. 
  2. Work collaboratively to coordinate employe training offered by HR, including mandatory training, and other HR training programs. Coordinate scheduling, event logistics (IT, Facilities Operations, etc.), talent and vendor relations. Utilize CCBC Classroom Reservation System for scheduling training, meeting, and events as needed.
  3. Monitor mandatory training compliance and generate reports accordingly. Utilize the Infosec software to communicate mandatory training reminders. Prepare stipends for adjunct employees who complete Sexual Misconduct Prevention (SMP)and Cybersecurity mandatory training.
  4. Build training courses in the Banner system for all HR units with attention to accuracy and details. Update attendance and assign grades at the conclusion of all training programs. 
  5. Respond to employee inquiries and troubleshoot to resolve registration and other program delivery problems. Track and maintain training registration.
  6. Develop brochures, flyers, emails, and other methods for communicating Human Resources programs to CCBC staff and faculty. Advertise and market professional development opportunities using existing tools and by developing new systems and processes.
  7. Assist with special projects, meetings, workshops, conferences, including the annual Professional Development Conference (PDC), New Hire Orientation, and other special events hosted or co-sponsored by Human Resources.
  8. Under the direction of the Manager, Training & Organizational Development, distribute surveys for HR training. Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of programs and recommend data driven needed adjustments.
  9. Administer CCBC’s Tuition reimbursement and waiver program.  Process employee and dependent requests for reimbursement or waiver for educational courses.  Ensure reimbursements are processed in accordance with CCBC program guidelines. Use Banner to validate employee and dependent eligibility. Process reimbursements in an accurate and timely manner. Work collaboratively with accounts payable staff to facilitate the reimbursement process.  Respond to employee inquiries regarding the tuition reimbursement program.  Resolve problems and address complaints as needed.  
  10. Track employee participation in HR training programs, including CCBC mandatory training.     Develop reports for mandatory training. 
  11. Develop the ongoing training calendar. Provide input on frequency of reoccurring training based on experience. Maintain the calendar and ensure it is posted on the intranet under HR Training and Organizational Development and send calendar invites to those who registered. 
  12. Serve as a liaison between HR-Training and Organizational Development and stakeholders. Provide superb customer service using effective listening skills and ensuring timely resolution or triage. All initial responses should be made within 24 hours of an employee call or email.

  • Roth 403(b) is a savings feature that is available when you open a 403(b) account. The Roth 403(b) savings feature allows employees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdraw tax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth 403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors:  TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc.  Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature.  Employees may contribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combined for the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
  • Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorization form is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/Human Resources Forms.

Free. Must obtain a parking permit from the Department of Public Safety to use on all campuses.
