Position Title Adjunct Instructor - Physical Geology
Job Duties
Butler Community College is seeking a part-time instructor to prepare and teach Physical Geology. The instructor would collaborate with the Physical Science faculty and the Faculty Development Team as needed to ensure continued success. This is a part-time faculty position at the El Dorado Correctional Facility for Summer 2024. Continued adjunct teaching is a possibility beyond the Summer term. 

Butler uses Canvas, Zoom, and Microsoft Office 365. The EDCF courses will utilize Blackboard. There could also be required software specific to the discipline. Free training is offered and required.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required knowledge and skills
A. Required 40 hour EDCF training (candidates must be willing to attend week-long 40 hour training, which will be compensated).
B. Annual EDCF training is required after initial year.  
C. Must be able to teach on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8am – 3pm.
Required experience
A. Prior post-secondary teaching experience is preferred.
B. Must be able to pass a background check and be fingerprinted. 
Required educational background
The successful candidate should have a master’s degree in physical science or physical geology and 18 hours of graduate level credit hours in Physical Science or Physical Geology is required.
